Only 45 days to find a partner, or they will be transformed into an animal and live the rest of the life as animal. David, who has just become single, says he wants to live as a ‘lobster’ at the moment of desperate despair, mentioning that blue-blooded lobsters live for over 100 years and breed for life. The movie “The Lobster, 2015,” which depicts the harsh world where singles must choose either finding a partner or living as an animal, makes us giggle.

February 14th of every year is a time to pierce the empty hearts of the singles. On Valentine’s Day full of romance, someone will have a romantic day tasting a three-course menu serving ‘Dating, Chocolate, and Gift’. However, there are those who have to watch and see all of these situations remaining mere spectators. The only consolation is that singles live in a democratic country where they would not be concerned about being punished or becoming a lobster in a day because they do not have a partner.

Whatever I’ve grumbled, love is really good. Even if somebody wonders how I talk about love in a situation where the COVID-19 pandemic is causing a stir, there is nothing better than love. Just as Tolstoy unfolded a beautiful story, people live only with love and sometimes die because of lack of that love. Maybe even if the world were ruined, would only love remain? So, you must love.

Let’s put aside the old-fashioned idea of giving chocolate only to your lover on Valentine’s Day. Everyone beloved in the world deserves chocolate. But, how could you put all of your overwhelming love in a piece of chocolate? In that case, the message will be best. Even with a few words with a sincere heart, you can express a much richer expression of love.
